"The Secret Place."
by Ruth Leach
I may not have the world
With all its silver and its gold,
I may not have its fame
 Or beauty to behold--
 But I have Jesus!
I may not have the easy path
 Of comfort and of ease.
I may not have the love of men,
 And do not please--
 But I have Jesus!
 I see the world
 And all its ways
 Come crumbling down.
 And everything I paid
 Allegiance to
 Cast to the ground.
I may not have this world,
 Its phoney loves and fame,
 But I have the One
 Who made the world,
I live by His precious Name.
 I have Jesus!
For what profit is it to a man if he gains
the whole world and loses his own soul?
 Matthew 16:26
